It’s inevitable to react wildly when any romantic interest is shown or rejected in today’s complicated times. I mean, not that I obsess about it. But sharing an instance here…

When I figure someone likes me, I immediately think-

“He thinks he can get me, what a loser, he’s single, why doesn’t anyone want him, why do I get the rejects of the genetic pool, how dare this mere mortal think of asking me, a self-deluded higher order non-mortal!”
