Kudos on your courage to write this piece Sonora Jha. I say courage because I really expected to find the comments sections littered with ad hominem fallacies thrown your way. I have been heart broken, but not because of the actual incident — that goes way beyond heart break, and extends to a moral questioning of a generation’s conscience. My heart break comes from the Twitter comments against any and everyone talking about justice for the victim- the whataboutery is nauseating, and the shifting of the blame on ‘liberals’, ‘feminazis’ has happened at a time when I expected at least this supposedly enlightened generation to have more compassion.
I have pushed back tears till I couldn’t. And instead consoled myself by this.
